I really want the expansion so I can enjoy the game more, but I don't want to pour additional money into my least favorite game if it won't fix the issues I have with it. Ultimately it seems the person who tells the truth consistently (or at least predominantly) usually ends up as the winner. The only time bribing ever comes up in my games is paying maybe a coin or two to get a sheriff to open someone else's bag, and that's usually just for some random fun/chaos.
